Who was your favorite entry and why?

Midwest #34: James and Emily's Vintage Modern Studio - I'm totally in love with the green kitchen and the entire feel of the place is so warm and inviting.

What's your next improvement?

If I could do anything I'd add a bedroom and make the place a house.

Awesome little space - I love that it doesn't feel like a studio

I LOVE it!
Could you lengthen the shower curtain? It's silly, but it seems a bit too short.

I love this, but maybe it is because it looks so much like my apartment:)

Not a fan of the knotty-pine-like TV stand but you're my favorite so far. Good Luck.

P.S. I want to pet that black cat.

where is the coffee table from? I'm still struggling to find the perfect, medium to small round coffee table. So difficult.

color, the coffee table looks like the Thomas O'Brien collection from Target... I know 'cause I have the same one :)

Great place; love the built-ins in the kitchen, and the clever curtain-cordon you've rigged to create a bedroom. I must say that I loved J & E's studio as well. Good luck!

super great taste in music and lovely display of posters. Puts shame to the NYC studios I looked at.

Fantastic! Love the use of colors, and the posters look great the way they are displayed. Good luck!

When they post our finalist entry (Family of Four), you'll see that you're our favorite other entry! So cool!

The bed has changed from the green to brown and black. I'm curious if you change it up periodically for fun or seasonally or if you just happened to change the linen look in between the sets of shots?

I really liked this a lot! That coffee table is fantastic...too bad Target no longer seems to have it.

Nice. But finalist? I'm not sure.... Guess that's why I wasn't invited to judge....

So this is what my apartment is supposed to look like! Love it. I have lots of similar things, including the round coffee table (I found mine at a thrift shop for $30). Where is the couch from that's separating the living room from the bedroom???

Thank you!

-The couch is the Tillary from West Elm.

- The table is discontinued Thomas O'Brien from Target.

- I've never tried to lower the shower curtain, I'm afraid they just painted around it...I'll take a peek.

- I've wanted to stain/paint the tv cabinet for ages, I've never had a proper space to do it in and I'm afraid to do it indoors.

-The bed linens, I have a ton of duvet covers and sheets, so I change them as needed. It changes the look of the "bedroom" instantly!

Thanks for all the comments, good and bad. We've only been here six months so I had to work fast to be ready for this contest. Only the couch is a new purchase so it's been fun to see how all our stuff looks so much better in a new (smaller) place.

Adorable! The colorful posters really make the place.

From where did you get the rug? Is it wool? I'm obsessed with finding an ivory shag that looks nice but doesn't shed like mad.

I love it! The print collection is great, the whole space feels so uncluttered but still very comfortable. I love that you've managed to include a defined area for everything in such a small space. And kudos to having light colored linens and carpet with a black pet, I can't seem to manage it. ;)

The place is really lovely. It makes me want to spend time there, and I think that's the whole point.

I like this one..It is a contender. I like that we are actually able to see the apartment in its entirety, I can understand the floorplan without seeing the floorplan. The archway in the foyer is charming.

Well done for a small place. The furniture placement is perfect. Exactly how I would have done it.

Maybe you are gonna call me crazy, but I really like the oldschool bathroom and the cool showercurtain.

Good use of a small space. Nice looking, clean, but not sophisticated. You need to consider colors other than white.

K-pop, the rug is from Target and it really doesn't shed.

I actually like the white walls in this place, they have a very nice texture and I think another color with my pearl jam posters would be too much.

Also we're renters and I'm not painting until I own a space.

I need to know where you got that chair! I'm sure it's vintage, but does anyone know who may have designed it??

I also really think dramatically improved the pictures from the first set. You're kitchen table looks much better with the yellow table cloth, and in whole your apartment looks very nice. Good luck!

I'd like to know where your bedside table lamp is from. I love all of the colors.

The chair is nameless, the cushions say "Bloomcraft" on them. I did see the same one on ebay once. I think it's just a generic Danish-Modern rocking chair. Someone in my old building was tossing it!

The lamp is an ebay find.
