Who was your favorite entry and why?

East #3: Luca's Surplus of Storage & Light - It's amazingly modern and streamlined, yet warm and inviting. Love the storage wall/room divider and the touches of wood.

John's Mission Melange - Apartment Therapy from John Sanphillippo on Vimeo.

What's your next improvement?

The back porch/office needs more book shelves and some sort of art piece. It's a work in progress.

Hi John, I put you as my favorite (you will see when they post my entry). I love the shot of the plants--japanese maples and plum trees, beautiful!

Is that some kind of "murphy bed"? How does it work?

It looks like the built in spins 180 degrees and then the bed folds out. If so, that is way cool.

Lenin?

Uh, you couldn't find a bronze bust of Washington or Lincoln or my favorite president, U.S.Grant?

Hmmm.

Your place is still very nice and the home of a true capitalist. I like it very much though I don't know about that bed contraption thing-y.

Are those wedding pictures in that buffet?

Hey! I have that same bust of Lenin. We put a little Santa hat on him at Christmas just to make him spin in the tomb on Red Square.

Love this place!

Ha! I also said "ohhh snax!"
I want your bay-shaped built-in hutch and super cool looking hide-a-bed.

I live in the Fremont neighboorhood of Seattle, we have a BIIIIG statue of Lenin in the town square and he gets a red star w/red x-mas lights to tranform him into a tree shape every year.
In April someone made him a purple and green scarf, i thought it needed mittens.

Woah. Super cool china cabinet/hide a bed. never seen anything that cool before.

But I guess you have to scoot the couch out of the way to use it?

I wish I could be as enthusiastic as everyone else but IMHO your place looks great because of its bones, not what you've done with it. Further, if you're keeping a fridge in the garage, you should be counting that space too! Maybe it's b/c I'm a NYer, but it just seems like you're cheating to me.
