Who Lives There: Megan, her fiance and their two cats
Location: San Francisco, California
Size: 670 square feet

What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? I love almost everything about our home, but the eight foot picture window in our combined living / kitchen / dining room is really special - it gives a lot of light and a lovely view of Twin Peaks and Noe Valley in San Francisco.

I also love that we cook, work, read, entertain, watch movies and just hang out in one room - it's efficient and concise, and I can't imagine going back to separate rooms for everything.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? We moved from a larger apartment so we needed to reconsider a lot of our furnishings and "stuff." It takes discipline and commitment to eliminate what you don't really need, so that was hard but rewarding. It's so nice to only have what you use. It also helped that we have a lot of cabinet space (which we didn't before) since we do cook quite a bit and have the resulting large number of pots, pans and appliances.

AMAZING PHOTOS!!! whoever took then should go pro, if they aren't already. I think the layout and furniture plan is terrific. The different areas are well defined in their own right but clearly relate to the whole space as one, cohesive element. you are clearly getting the max out of that 670 sq. feet. Any chance of doing my place, Megan?

Really nice! I love the table in hallway and the orange boxes, great art work, great use of space. WOuld of like to have seen the bathroom.

I love your colourful touches - like the orange boxes! You place is clean, organized and homey. I also enjoy your light but fun colour scheme int he bedroom with the white and gray sheets and that pop of purple on the pillow. :)

Lovely apt!
ur choice of furniture is perfect! u really have grt sense of what belongs where...i am so amazed how each piece fits together. u dont have too much unlike some other apts I have seen here.
