New Online Shop: Hygge & West

If you're as big a fan of Christiana Coop's San Francisco house tour as we are, then you are going to love this: She has teamed up with Aimee Lagos (her partner in Ferm Living's US distribution) to launch a new online shop, Hygge & West. Now, not only can we drool over photos from Christiana's apartment, we can bring a bit of her cool style into our own home. She and Aimee rounded up a great selection of housewares, including exclusive products and the work of designers who are often hard to find in the US.

The photo above is Julia Rothman's wallpaper, "Daydream," shown in the yellow and gray combination; there are several other colors to choose from. Below is her "Pieces" pattern, which is available in two colorways.

And now that the winter weather seems to be hitting the Bay Area, we could really use a Ruth Cross hand-knitted hot water bottle cozy or a lovely "Storia" teapot by Kahler.

After clicking around Hygge & West, we're getting all sorts of ideas for our holiday wishlist!

That wall with that fireplace, with the bird in the fireplace along with the ones on the wall goes beyond clever and manages to be poetic in my not-especially-humble opionion.

I think it's a shame that it is now socially acceptable for everything to be over-priced.

That second wallpaper: talk about faceted! That should go in the post that was made yesterday regarding faceted objects.

I think that could really work and be beautiful in moderation.

And I'm sure my girlfriend would love everything about this first wallpaper.
