AT:SF Survey: Got Kids?

2006_09_05_citykids.jpgFor whom do you feather your nest? Apparently SF has the fewest number of kids per capita of any American city (and yet California is the best state for babies.)

There's a rumor that SoMa was developed as lofts so the city wouldn't have to come up with cash to open elementary schools in that neighborhood.

I'm not planning on it, but as a gay man, it remains very difficult. May explain some of the low child numbers in gay mecca SF.

Have a baby and, after 15 years in SF, we're moving to the East Bay! We'd stay here if there were better schools.
