Lovig Asymmetrical Danish Desk at Farnsworth

8-12-08farndesk.jpgOver the weekend we stopped in at Farnsworth and fell in love with this desk. Nowadays, all the desks are boxy. It was refreshing to see a vintage piece that had a more unique form. Now, we realize that these desks are few and far between because, frankly, most people just haven't got the space for them (like us!). However, we wish we did! It's got great storage and a great shape.

8-12-08farnsext.jpgFrom Denmark, circa 1960's.

From Farnsworth: "Great compact asymmetrical desk by Lovig of Denmark, having beveled edges along the outside of the desk surface with a three drawer return to the left, and a top drawer with a built in sliding tray. The front of the desk has an storage area and a mirrored bar that can be locked, the shelf in this compartment is angled like the desk. The angular legs have cross supports that are accented in brass, which creates a nice contrast with the figurative grain of the wood."

The price? $2,100. More information available here.
