French Industrial Series at Wisteria

Wisteria's French Industrial Coffee Table recently made it onto our short list when looking for a new coffee table for a client (it ended up being a few inches too tall, unfortunately.) While we didn't use it, we still think it's a great looking table, and in fact are pretty taken with their whole French Industrial series.

Yes, it would be much cooler to find the real vintage version of any of these, but sometimes instant gratification and a reasonable price beat out our desire to be completely unique.

Loved these when they were posted before; love them now. Wheels add such great whimsy. (Hope they lock.) Any suggestions for less expensive versions of the coffee table and end table?

if it was only a few inches too tall, why didn't you just replace those big wheels with smaller ones? same lines, just a bit lower and smaller.

Ugh- this is a SORE subject. I fell in LOVE with the French Industrial bookcase after seeing it in their catalog. Decided to splurge and buy it, only to be told a day later that they had to recall the product because of safety concerns. :(

BUT.. Wisteria was really great about the whole thing and sent me a $100 gift certificate because of the incident.

Wisteria is one of the few catalogue companies that makes an effort to choose unique pieces and thankfully, doesn't send a catalogue every other week (hello, frontgate and grandinrod).
