'Grippy' Coffee Table by John Caswell Design

8-5-08-grippylarge.jpg

If you find a slatted coffee table (where magazines can hang by their spines) too linear, John Caswell has designed this version for you. It works by using rubber flaps in round cutouts to grip anything you push through the holes in the table top, creating a landscape out of living room detritus.

We prefer to treat our magazines a little better, but we can also appreciate creativity when we see it. See this and more of Caswell's designs here.

No thanks --- it looks funny --- also who likes to read rolled up magazines a week latter. In the morning one would have to look into each hole to find the car keys, buy chance they got pushed down into a hole.
