Marbelous Table by Tineke Beunders

More quirky design from Ontwerpduo. This wood dining table is designed for fun...

It has a track built into the top and legs that allows marbles to roll all over the table. Designed by Tineke Beunders of Ontwerpduo, the table is a link, for her, between adulthood's furniture and childhood's toys:

"The world of adults' furniture and the world children's toys don't seem to belong together. From my childhood I remember it was always exiting to combine these two. I used the woodcarvings of furniture as a playfield for my puppets, to play in a new world. With this feeling in mind we created a concept for a new piece of furniture."

Be sure to catch the table in action, as seen in this video. Images: Lisa Klappe

Here's hoping that whoever owns this table has their chiropractor on speed-dial.

My son would love it, but at the same time it's already hard enough to get him to stay in his chair during dinner!

That's a choking hazard for kids, pets, and drunken/confused adults. And what's with the model's pose?
