Made by artisan carpenter Richard Wrightman, this folding tray table (and all its cousins) is height-adjustable, making it suitable for impromptu meals in the living room. This is a really nice bit of flex to build into a small home that lacks a real dining space. (There was a great thread on AT-NY on height-adjustable coffee tables some time ago. This is one that should be added to the mix.)
