The work of artist and furniture designer Thomas Wold always makes us happy. The first time we saw his three-dimensional collages of furniture in the windows of a local shop, we got a big grin on our face - the same one that magically reappeared when we found these mushroom tables...
We could talk about the practicality of the multi-surface top (glasses and remotes stay close at hand, decorative objects are out of the way while still in plain sight), or the sturdy wood base that provides ample stability for the mushroom tops. Yeah, we could talk about those grown-up concerns, but really, this is just too fun.

All I want to do is put Mario figurines on them

Not for me, but they'd be cute in a doctor's office or nursery school or someplace that needs over-the-top, twee whimsy.

I think they are adorable. But apparently the only one who likes whimsy around here. :P

Silly, but cute.

I think that these are quite charming, and would add a bit of light-hearted fun to a room, if used as an accent piece. We don't really have a budget of almost $500 for an accent table, but if I did, there is the perfect spot in our living room for one. (and I don't think anyone would characterise our decor as as over-the-top twee whimsy)

At first glance I thought these were outdoor tables, which actually, wouldn't be bad...

Very cute, but belong in a Smurf house. :)

It is very cute, but the real question is, would you buy one and put it in your home? Probably not.
