SF Good Questions: Coffee Table-Sized Moebius Table?

4-14-moebius.jpgAT:SF, I am looking for a moebius table that is cocktail/coffee sized. The version at DWR is only 28" -- more of a side table. I want a 36" at the very minimum, preferring 40" to 44". Do you know where to get a larger version? Or a base-only that would support a larger top? Thanks!

Could you just get a larger top cut for that? Maybe drill though the top into the base for stabilization?

Kim,

The DaniaFurniture/PlummersFurniture/ScandinavianDesigns stores offer both a 40" round and an oval version for $250:

You can only buy in-store; they don't sell over the web.

Just add .com to any of the 3 names above to check out their websites and find store locations...the differnet names serve different regions.

Forgot to mention: only in cherry, though.

I am a furniture designer, manufacturing furniture pieces for showrooms in NYC and LA.....I could make a similar coffee table for you using solid Walnut wood, which seems to be the wood on the picture. Have you thought of a rectangular shape table also?

Potentially, if nothing else, you could buy two of the side tables and have an oval glass top cut for them.

Bummer! it's been more than a month since I asked that question, so I thought it wouldn't get posted. I bought another table base.

Along with the lamp and tribal rug, it's sort of a Moroccan theme. I still need to clear out stuff in the corners, figure out the art, and re-do the arm chairs, but it's getting there.

Thanks though. It's appreciated.
