San Francisco designer Rick Lee's Trio Contemporary Coffee Table reminds us of those Transformers that were all the rage with little kids. There's a detachable drawer box that features an inside drawer with storage compartments in the rear. Set perpendicularly (is that a word?), it can form an "L" or "T" shape. When pulled out, the drawer box can form a magazine rack in the cut-out; pushed in, the cut-out can be used a built-in dish. (Um, it's much easier to understand if you check out the photos below.)
