We were excited to see Brooklyn ceramicist Alyssa Ettinger's new expanded knitware line. We wrote about her great knitware coasters here. Now she's come up with espresso cups, cups, and plates in the same lovely, textural sweater-y patterns.
The plates, like the coasters, are hand-built so the sweaters are rolled into the porcelain by hand. The cups are slip-cast with liquid porcelain, from molds made from the arms of real sweaters; the unglazed pieces are so smooth they feel like cashmere (or so we hear).
Available in celery, vanilla, and slate, or unglazed.
