Summit China at Value Village

8-3-08 Dishes.JPGOn Labor Day, we hit up one of our favorite sales -- a 50 percent off day at Value Village. Nearly every time we thrift the SE Portland location, we come home with good bargains and fabulous finds, and Monday was no exception.

8-3-08 Dishes 2.JPGFor your viewing pleasure, here's our new set of Summit Fine China dessert bowls in the Stardust pattern. The silver floral (with just a hint of blue in the center) seems the perfect combination of girly and atomic, and should complement our solid white Harmony House Moonglow collection perfectly.

8-3-08 Dishes 3.JPGWhile we left behind three bread and butter plates, we did take home a creamer and sugar bowl, all for less than $10. If any of you made it to a Value Village (or Savers in Canda) sale this past weekend, let us know what deals you managed to score!

Actually in Québec it's "Village des Valeurs". And once I found an enormous enameled green and white cooking pot there, made in former Yugoslavia. Beauty. It's seen a lot of use lately, what with all the delicious corn fresh from the market.

The one on mcloughlin is my favorite.

We were visiting madison, wisconsin last weekend and drove up to sheboygan. The goodwill there was awesome. I came home with a 70s terrarium kit.
