We're huge fans of Ashes & Milk, an online boutique that sells simple and beautiful products that use organic materials. Each piece is made by hand. Our favorite? These bamboo spoons.

crazy pricing...oh, right! these are from japan...

HST, the natural black tree oil that is used to lacquer these things is getting harder to find...in some places, its collection is regulated by law...

a pair would make a nice gift though, salad tossers
