Wood Placemats at Vivre

4-30-08 placemat.jpgThis placemat instantly reminded us of the sheets and security gates mentioned here recently. Does that make patterns of circles the new trend? We have no idea, but we like the look - it reminds us of a million little bubbles.

We just wish they made a bigger version we could use as a rug, as we never really use placemats, and therefore have no way of justifying the $90 price tag. And don't you think the little nubs would feel good on your feet?

Available from Vivre.

This looks sort of like the cork trivets that one of the D*Sponge DIY finalists did.

It kind of looks like dog kibble.

As a rug, every little thing is going to get trapped in those spaces. Place mats even more so. But as a message board?
