From a DIY chic bathroom sink solution to a poured-on-site terrazzo kitchen counter, Gabriel Yuri totally transformed his 1,000-square-foot bungalow in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood.

Sydney always dreamed of owning a historic home and when she and her husband went remote during the pandemic, they bought this bungalow, which will be 100 years old this year. "We're going to throw her a birthday party," Sydney explains.

Rachel, who runs the popular retro-inspired home Instagram account @bungalow_fifty8, wasn't necessarily looking for a new house, but when she came across this two-bedroom 1950s-era bungalow with a big garden, she and her partner took on the project of turning it into a home.
