The Gallery: Liz Russell

Green Fist (acrylic, resin, and tissue on canvas)

We first noticed Carmel-based artist Liz Russell's work when we discovered The Beholder, an online gallery we wrote about a couple of months ago.

Russell's art is a combination of vibrant colors and strong patterns, but with a delicate touch. Her mixed media pieces incorporate patterned fabric, acrylic paint, charcoal, leather, paper, pastels, and acrylic resin.

The Beholder writes: Liz’s work incorporates and transforms imagery from a variety of sources including botany, product design, medicine and the decorative arts.
