TileVault: Multi-Colored Seconds

5-16-tiles4.jpgWhat: Multi-colored seconds picked up at a discount and put together randomly
Where: Private residence, Piedmont, CA
When: Photo taken Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Why: Because it shows that doing things on budget can still give you great results. The homeowners picked up seconds and ends of boxes from a local tile store in complementary colors (greens and blues) and mixed them randomly on the wall for a water-like effect.

I love that this was achieved by being economical.

Beautiful! A great way to be green (literally). Keep up the creativity.

I'm in love with the color mix - but what I find amazing is that they found edge tiles in the same colors!

I like the harmonious—not complementary—colors. ; )

Great color combination. I'm curious to know how long and how many tile stores it took to get enough tile to make this work. It turned out beautifully and I'm sure was worth the extra work.
