Top Ten: Bath Rugs

2006_12_18_habidecorlatino-.jpgBrrrrr! It's that time of year when our unheated bathroom really starts to bum us out. We don't like the idea of an electric space heater in a bathroom, so we're shopping for a super warm and cushy bath rug for the floor. Some refreshing color underfoot would be nice, too, after years of the neutral spa look. These are a few we're considering.

Restoration Hardware Paradigm Rugs, $15.99 - $89
Target Bahama Bath Rug, $19.99
Euro-Luxury Organic Cotton Bath Mats, $20 - $35
Habidecor Inca, $126 - $223

Habidecor Wood, $135
Habidecor Latino Colorful Plush Bath Rug, $198
Habidecor Feuille Bath Rug, $198
Habidecor Galet, $250

Habidecor is one of the most luxurious bath textile manufacturers around and their rugs feel great underfoot. Still, who knew that a bath rug could cost upwards of $200? The question is, are there less pricey alternatives that can compete? We found a hopeful few (top of list); please add to this list if you know of more....

Might want to consider getting something that is machine washable ;-)

I got mine at West Elm. It was 20 bucks and is great--and yes, Mama C, it is machine washable and comes out fluffy and like new.

The very best for a 100 % cotton washable and reversible but affordable luxury bath rugs are Targets's Thomas Obrian Microcotton and Kohls Laura Ashley Microcotton Bath rugs.
