Escapes: Los Cabos, Mexico

Naps on the terrace daybed. Naps in the hammock, situated beneath a palapa on the beach. Naps by the infinity pool. Sensing a theme here?

Now that AT's Escapes Month has kicked off, we've been daydreaming about one of our favorite vacation destinations: Los Cabos, Mexico. We spent several afternoons relaxing on the daybed pictured above — sometimes with a book in hand, other times simply listening to the waves below. Just looking at the daybed, with its vibrant textiles, made us happy. (If it ever goes on sale, we might consider buying this daybed for our own backyard.)

Inside — on the other side of the sliding glass door — the room itself was just as gorgeous. That headboard! That upholstered desk chair!

The feeling of relaxation continued in the bathroom, where the shower and bathtub area was tiled with river rocks. We don't know if we'd want this in our own home (seems hard to clean?), but we loved it during our vacation. We're also crazy about those Galbraith and Paul window treatments.

Maybe a trip to a spa this weekend will help us recapture just a bit of the joy and tranquility of our Los Cabos escape.
