Owner Knut Slinning envisioned a resort in the remote Norwegian woods that would leave no mark on its surroundings. He went to architect Jan Olav Jensen, who designed the Juvet to perch upon the earth and cause as little disturbance (visually and physically) as possible. Look closely or you'll miss it...
The Juvet Landscape Hotel is clad in wood and glass, which blends it into its surroundings on the exterior and allows for undisturbed views from the interior. One thing that definitely doesn't blend in, however: that bright yellow bathroom. It's quite a contrast the otherwise natural and neutral surroundings, but we quite like the hidden shock of color. It reminds us of this pink closet.
