This photo most definitely goes in our "bathrooms we covet" file. Just look at that fabulous marble counter/sink/backsplash, and the built-in shelf that's just big enough for a small vase, and, perhaps, a treasured object or two...

Very beautiful indeed. Alas, it will stay in my dream file. If it's Calcutta Gold honed marble like I think it is, then that dream won't come cheaply, especially with the built in sink.

I had the same thought. If that's Calcata Gold, and I'm pretty sure it is, that's the most beautiful vanity I've ever seen. Man!

Hey, I was just covet-ing over at another post and thought I'd join u over here, too. I love the design, it's nearly perfect, don't know much about marble, but I think the color I really love is crema marfil. I probably can't afford that either.

if you have it cherish it, but to go out and get it would not be environmentally responsible. There are savage yards with big pieces if you want but to buy as new is another situation.

It's funny how luxuries get painted as "environmentally irresponsible" as a near automatic reaction. Usually by people communicating via a non-imported-from-China, non-petroleum-derived-plastic laptop that's run on non-coal-derived electricity. That was sarcasm if you missed it. Wearing a hair shirt and attempting to revert to a hunter-gatherer way of life accomplishes little more than to make you feel better about doing something.

Is it Calcata or Calacatta?

It's Calacatta in Italian. In the US it's usually labeled as either Calcata, Calcutta and occasionally, Calacatta.
