More Modern Bathtubs

3-14-08 tintub3.jpg

You guys are the best. We put out a plea for help and you always manage to throw us a bone. In our hunt for this dream of a bathtub we came up short. And while we still don't have our fingers on an exact replica, one of our readers, TRUE BLUE, sent us a great list with some sweet lookin' metal tubs. Check it out below the jump...

We must admit, the toilet-bench component of this sleek bathroom set freaks us out a little bit.

It could be the miracle solution for that toilet seat cover conundrum that AT:LA pointed out a while back, but we're steering clear.

And for a change of pace there's always the hammock tub concept.

As TRUE BLUE pointed out, this tub is described as "soft and pliant". Not really for the bathroom, more for a woodsy outdoor scene...

Thanks, TRUE BLUE, for the great tips!

just noticed that toilet seat bench. awesome! you could go further and have matching wood frame the tank - elongated to reach the end of the length of the bench, making a real bench you can lean back on! have a hinged lid on top for when you have to inspect the tank unit. AND the other half of the back piece which does not cover the tank could provide towel or toiletry storage... or storage for the unsightly toilet paper, toilet brush, and plunger! holy moly, i should get paid for ideas like this!

Actually, I kind of like the toilet seat bench. But I'd worry my guests would never figure out what it was.

Guest (peering sheepishly from the bathroom): Um, pardon me...
Host: Oh, gosh, are you out of toilet paper?
Guest: No, I can't find the toilet...

The giant round tub appears to be installed in the eaves of an upstairs room, which would otherwise be functionally limited, so I won't hold the wasted space against them. And I am in love with the tub hammock.

The giant round tub looks cool, not viable in city apartments tho. But looks really comfortable to relax in.
