i like the idea... but i'm worried that all loaded up it would pull the curtain rod down.

I'd be curious to know how stable these caddies are when loaded with bottles and all the usual shower stuff. They look like they'd tilt over at the slightest touch.

My shower curtain keeps blowing in on me. Maybe this will help??

Have you tried the curved shower rod.

It's a great idea, and I'm curious, but I agree with the others who have posted here. Is it stable? How much weight can in hold? Someone needs to be the guinea pig for us!

living with a clawfoot tub makes my shower storage almost nil. i will try and find one this week maybe and tell everyone about it.

If I buy this or a variation of it, I'll let everyone know how it holds up.

Once we have this thing road tested... and know it holds up to the heavy weight of bottles... it would double well as a planter.

I have something similar, but it's not a plastic caddy like the one Urban is selling. I too have a clawfoot tub, and have no way to store my shampoo and the like.

I found a chrome one at Ross that uses the same idea. There's 2 baskets, enough room for me to store shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap, and shaving cream. It also has smaller hooks to hang a loofah and a sponge.

My rod doesn't show any noticeable bends, and is holding up really well. However, since my rod is curved and supported by the ceiling, it could be a different story for people with regular shower rods.

Hmm... unfortunately for me the boyfriend would manage to knock this down in a second. He's already knocked/pulled my towel rod off the wall twice. He's the greatest. :)

i have knocked down my "tension shower rod" several times just by pulling my shower curtain slightly too fast/too slow/too odd of an angle...so this would surely make it fall.

I have this (or something very *very* similar). I recently purchased it at The Container Store and I've been very happy with it. I have a clawfoot tub, and I've always needed caddy's that I can hang off the bar that circles the tub. Thankfully the bar closest to the wall on my tub is actually attached to the wall, so its pretty sturdy to hang things off of. I've been happy with it. It seems to be draining well, has enough room for quite a few bottles, razors, etc, and looks fairly nice.

this looks almost identical to the caddy from umbra... only UO has marked it up a few bucks. the hooks can also be used to hang over the shower head.

I've owned this for two years, it's made by Umbra and I bought it at the container store (mine is white). It's worked really well - I have a clawfoot tub with a shower curtain rod that surrounds it.

The caddy is well made, and I've never worried about it breaking, even with 5 or 6 full shampoo and conditioner bottles. The hooks have a layer of rubber underneath to keep it from sliding around, and it's easy to clean.

It looks pretty nice, and hasn't rusted like some of the cheaper shower caddys that I've tried in the past - definitely worth the money.

I have had the Umbra version for a year now and it is pretty sturdy. It's hanging from an oddly placed towel rod in the shower and not the curtain rod. Mine has suction cups which holds it a little more still. I would say the only complaint is that since the little buckets are rounded, sometimes it seems to hold less than you think it would and things just sort of slump over.

This might work ok with a permanently attached curtain rod, but it would definitely pull down a tension rod. Like .Jaclyn. says, it would probably work better on a towel rod.

They also have this at the container store...it is shown on the packaging there with both hooks hooked around the shower head. Possibly more sturdy than the shower curtain rod for those that are worried about that.

I also have a clawfoot tub surrounded by a circular shower rod, supported by the ceiling (only at one point though). It just never looks that stable or secure to me, so I've never dared to hang anything heavier than a couple drying shirts.

All of you using it for a similar setup -- is your rod supported at both ends of the shower by the celing? Or just one?

Currently we just use a bathroom cart pushed all the way up to one end of the tub.
