Vintage Bohemian Fun: All the Luck in the World

Those of you who love the feminine bohemian aesthetic of Anthropologie but prefer to spend your money with independent artists and craftspeople are sure to adore Dutch artist Jane Schouter. You might remember her Christmas tree alternative from last winter; like that tree, most of what you'll find in her shop, All the Luck in the World, are vintage objects and collectibles revamped with Jane's colorful artistic eye...

Layered patterns, funky florals, and mid-century forms are all mainstays of Jane's collection. But she doesn't stop at simple re-upholstery or paint; the vintage blankets used to re-cover old stools and chairs, for example, are adorned with her hand-done embroidery and applique.

Jane and her sister are planning to open a brick-and-mortar shop in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, a few of the pics above offer a peek at the shop as it takes shape. Fortunately for those of us on this side of the Atlantic, you can also view and purchase Jane's work online.
