Vinyl Wall Decal Clock from Artstick

51009vinylclock1.jpgFor the most part, vinyl wall decals don't really get us excited anymore. We all know they've been done to death, to the point where the use of them no longer seems creative. But this concept from the Italian company Artstick—a clock constructed from wall decals, where you can customize the size of the clock, mix and match number styles, and add embellishments as you see fit—is fun and original, like a less permanent take on the Anysize Clock. Details after the jump...

The decal clock kit comes with a clock mechanism, of course, and several different styles of numbers, including spelled-out numbers in Italian (for an added bit of European chic). You can also choose cute decorative elements like birds, tea cups, or pendulums, and since the decals are removable, it's easy to ditch the birds or butterflies if you tire of them.

Like many decorative clocks, the decal clock doesn't exactly look easy to read, and at $77.35, the kit is not cheap. In fact, it seems to us that with some number decals and a DIY mix-and-match of other designs, it would not be difficult to put together something like this yourself. But if you're not in the mood for DIY, the kits from Artstick are worth a look.

If decals are your thing, bee sure to check out Artstick's whole selection on their site—they've got some fabulous options for kids' rooms (we love the pink pterodactyls).

I gotta say, the idea of vinyl stickers on the wall has never been appealing (har har) to me. It just looks.. tacky. The designs are cool, but that's it.

agreed, wall decals are only okay in a very young kids room, and even then, I can't stand them.

I, too, want the cabinet in the first pic. Also, it's a pity wall decals have been run into the ground, because it spoils the impact of something I find genuinely cool, like the clock in the first picture. Vey.

I actually like them....if they really stick like they are supposed to. Decals never work as well as they do in pictures. I hate to come home to a half peeled whatever. Maybe the humidity here is the problem....not sure.
