We don't get cable, so DIY Network's show Man Caves hasn't really flown onto our radar until now. We just stumbled upon these images from a past episode where the team designed a man cave/home office for Rainn Wilson, AKA Dwight from NBC's The Office. Check out the results here...
It's decidedly less "cave"-ish than most of the man lairs we've seen before, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and some beautiful design touches. The industrial light fixtures, exposed wood beams and eye-catching rug create a look that could be inspirational for both man and woman "caves" alike. See more images at DIY Network.

Those oversized ceiling fixtures are amazing. Where are they from?

That is REALLY nice. I'd take that as a lady-cave any day.

I'm not big on the whole idea of a man cave - LOL - I'd prefer it more as a den that both parties would feel welcome in.

I'm of the ladyhood and I would live here in a heartbeat! Especially if Rainn was part of the, ahem, package.

It's hardly what I think of as a "man-cave." Why do men need "man-caves" anyway? Do they think WE never want to escape?
It's a nice room, regardless of gender. I'd happily hang out there.

God, he's cute when he's not playing a nerd. Oops, so much for an inner monologue.
Love the beams together with the pendant lights!

The "coffee" (beer?) table is gorgeous. Don't watch TV, was it a DIY? Bravo!

I hate to get all grouchy, but yeah, why the man cave? Because we ladies wile away our hours in the kitchen, baking cookies with a babe hanging off each breast? Blech. That aside, nice room.

The ceiling lights are hard to place exactly, there are lots of similar styles out there.

Man cave? I'd take that 'cave' myself! It's very tasteful for a guy hangout.

This is such a great "man" space that feels simply cozy with warm textures and great lighting. I think any home would be able to welcome this room!

The female version of a Man Cave is a large spa style bathroom & / or a walk-in closet. Isn't that pretty obvious?

I believe the whole concept of "man cave" began with that 80's (or was it 90's?) iconic book "Men Are From Mars, Women From Venus" where the author talks about the time men need to retreat to a space they can call their own a la` the cave. But I digress: Rainn is adorable.
