Both of these houses by Victoria, BC's SOS Design combine the functions of live and work within the home: living spaces above and working spaces below. One is the home and studio of a graphic designer and the other is home and workplace of SOS themselves...

We love that both homes incorporate serious workspaces without completely separating them from the living quarters. An open stair and views between the two functions make both of these homes true live-work environments. See more of SOS Design's work here.

I love the first pic of the front. I have a 1930's stucco box, I think that's it was. The front and roof lines, to me, look similar. One day I wish to do a small addition, update the look and use houses like these as an example.
