Paola's desk is fashioned from the back of an old bookcase and a couple of sawhorses; two of the bookshelves, propped along the legs of the sawhorses, provide a spot for stacking books and magazines under the desk. She plans to cover the tabletop with something and probably paint the sawhorses as well. A hammock hangs nearby, beckoning for power-naps, and a few hide ottomans casually tossed in a circle offer a conference room of sorts.

The sewing corner is decked out in pink, with a handmade caddy for Paola's many colors of thread and a pink chair adorned with paper pom-poms. We love the contrast of this bright color with the natural tones and rough-hewn textures of the rest of the attic.
