SFGate's design blog The Wallflower recently featured the colorful house of a photographer and art director couple living in North Oakland. The paint choices throughout the home are very nice, but this image really blew us away...
They created the shades of pink by starting with a deep fuschia (Pantone Blushing Red) and adding a bit of white incrementally for each band of color. Such a great idea, and so much more cost effective than buying a can for each stripe! You can see more of the couple's house at The Wallflower, including other happy paint choices used throughout their home.

Yea, I love pink.
The link doesn't work. Love the shaded wall though.
Have to wonder how the guy feels?
That reminds me of the beauty shop on Ugly Betty. Link to photo: http://bp0.blogger.com/_Skoh-lE8sO0/SCOgvFwLFLI/AAAAAAAAH6s/FgOwI3VOFPw/s400/215 Diaz Hilda 13 Hair Chop.jpg

Perhaps he doesn't think a wall color threatens his masculinity or sense of self?
I've often thought how fun a sweet pink powder room would be, but wouldn't dare, fearing shading into pepto-bismal territory. Pretty.
Liquid joie de vivre.
Happy place... plus I have those shoes:-)
I really like the tonal effect.
how cute!
ChrisGal-
If he's anything like me (a dude that loves color, especially of the pantone and gradient variety), he likes it a lot! :)
