The bedroom is a sensitive area where technology and natural sleep have had a history of stepping on each other's toes. However, for others, there's no better place to catch up on their TV shows as its the most comfortable part of their home. While we're going to side with the previous camp, we'd like to open it up; tell us - what tech do you allow next to you while you sleep?
For me, I consider the bedroom as my personal haven away from 'real work.' That is, all the million things vying for attention day in and day out. This includes e-mails, all the news in the browser tabs I've opened but have yet to look at, and you know... Facebook.
For that reason, I've decided to place my phone in the study and the iPad in the living room. The beside is reserved for three things: a couple of books I've deemed 'essential reading,' an LED lamp, and an alarm clock. For me, that's everything I need and nothing I don't. Plus, that e-mail from your boss won't be needing attention until the next day.
