Shauna & Stephen's Simple Structural Desk

When the average person is thinking about a desk for their home office, they typically think of what style they want and where they're going to buy it. There's nothing wrong with purchasing new, or even used furniture &mdash but maybe we should start thinking a little further and fashion those purchases into a unique, custom piece.

Back in March we featured the House Tour Shauna & Stephen's Lively Loft. Their house was filled to the brim with inspiration and we can't stop thinking about it. There's just too much jam packed in there to not think about months down the road.

One feature that really resinated with us &mdash their simple, structural desk. The pieces are a mix of a thrifted desk and shelves from IKEA. What's so unique and creative is what they did to combine those pieces to create such a fantastic home office.

We really like all of the space that this desk provides. They have plenty of room for their iMac, keyboard and mouse, and that's just on the main desk top. There's the additional space from the shelves, both on top and in each cubby hole that can be used for speakers and any other computer accessories!

Do you have a simple yet structural diy desk?
