Let's play house! Studio Gorm's ingenious remix of the tool shed as a mobile interior storage unit, the Shed/Shelf is exactly that...a house-shaped rolling shed that opens to reveal four compartments of assorted shelves, compartments, hooks and slots that looks straight out of a Jacques Tati film. The Shed/Shelf would be at home in a spacious loft space with smooth flooring and high ceilings, and where hidden-away storage is often needed. But I also imagine this working in a child's room for organizing and displaying Junior's favourite things, all in a neat and orderly fashion. More photos under the cut.

because i don't think it's taller than a few feet. look at the room it's in and the pan! if it's as tall as a shed someone could walk into that frying pan would be huge.

I could only imagine this working in a child's room and I doubt even that. I'm all for [good] design but this seems to be a bulky space waster rather than a space maximizer.
Haha, I guess we're talking about different dimensions in regards to "life size". I thought it was being asked if this was a miniature model; it seems to be anywhere from 3'-4' tall for storage. I wouldn't want it that much bigger, since when it opens up, it's pretty wide looking.
I can't even imagine what this cost but I'm impressed with the design.
You could use this for anything, even an office of sorts, and regardless of the dimensions (and lack of price anywhere to be seen) this is easily inspiring me to build something of my own as a workstation.
Functional, and fairly good looking. Anyone with imagination and a bit of effort could make (or have this made) and paint it wonderful colors, using it as function art.

Not exactly a space saver in the sense that it needs twice it's width to open up all the way. And with the sloped roof, you can't even put anything on the top when it's closed up.
