Yesterday Shifrah talked us through how she was cleaning some neglected parts of her home, namely her doors and light switch covers. Today, we're seeing the results: Oh, so much better!! Cleaning the doors, door knobs, and light switch covers is an easily overlooked cleaning chore. Frankly, I only sometimes notices that I should wipe them but never realized how horrible they actually were until I decided to tackle them.
It's a simple project that shouldn't take more than a few minutes (maybe more if you get carried away and scrub nearby walls and baseboards like I did— why not?). But it's one of those little things that makes such a big difference in the overall clean feel of my space. It could just be me; I know it's done so I notice it —but it makes me happy.
On another, more serious note, with back-t0-school germs beginning to circulate and flu season just around the corner, incorporating the cleaning of door knobs and light switches into your weekly—possibly even daily—cleaning routine will help keep your family healthy.
