Like many other galleries in this part of the city, everything comes with a rather hefty price tag. However, at Demisch Danant all the staff is incredibly nice and laid back. Everyone involved with the gallery has a real passion for what they sell and is more than willing to explain all they know about furniture and art. Its by far one of the best places in the city to see what's hot and to be inspired by beautiful things, like the art of Felice Varini and his perspective localized site specific paintings (pictured above from two different angles).

A favorite in the gallery is the work of Maria Pergay, a contemporary furniture designer. They have held several major shows of her works in the recent past, including whimsical pieces like her 2007 stainless steel Ribbon Chair.

The gallery also has an impressive collection of the playful works of Pierre Paulin, including originals of his most famous works and some of his very rare designs.
