Maura Grace Ambrose founded Folk Fibers with the goal to "share the craft and folklore that prevails around natural dyes and quilting." Each of her quilts is hand quilted in Austin, Texas and is made using 100% natural fibers.
She grows, harvests, and forages for natural, organic dyes around Austin, and uses them to dye some of the fabrics used in the making of her quilts. She then patchworks her dyed fabric with other fabrics, both vintage and new, to create one-of-a-kind heirloom treasures.

Inspiration for opening: Making things I love and sharing them.
Merchandise source: My own two hands.
Best selling item: Most items are one-of-a-kind, but people seem to be enjoying my series of wholecloth quilts.
Your favorite item: I know it's cliche, but I'm so excited about the next item I'm working on. Right now that's the Hawaii quilt that will be online for sale soon.
