We always enjoy taking a break from the work day to peruse clean, fresh, fun sites full of pretty wares and items for the home. We feel even better about our break when those wares aren't just good-looking, but friendly to the environment. Online store and Austin-based design firm Little Pond Design is a perfect treat for mid-day.

You might remember Little Pond Design from a previous post we did about them a couple of years ago — Little Pond Takes Green Design Seriously. They were breathing new life into old pieces of furniture, but in eco-friendly ways. We appreciate a company striving to do their best to create home decor that will be healthy for everyone, and commend them for their designs and efforts.

Now with an expanded website, you can check out all kinds of different elements like new eco-friendly furniture, upcycled vintage, new accessories, rare vintage accessory finds and even raw vintage pieces -- pieces Little Pond Design founder Rebekah Gainsley finds, keeps "raw" and allows you to pick out the perfect elements to upcycle it with. Along with selling items, Rebekah also offers staging, restyling, resource shopping and color and design consulting. Bottom line: we like how streamlined everything on the site is and how it's curated to reflect a modern and natural style from brands that have eco-friendly beliefs and practices.
