Right now seems like the perfect time to revisit one of our favorite sources for classic American bedding. Pendleton Mills started back in the 1860s, when Oregon weaver Thomas Kay opened up shop in Brownsville. 150 years later, they're still making wool blankets, many of them in timeless Native American designs.
Now headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Pendleton produces 100 percent wool blankets in a variety of Native American patterns, as well as stripes, lumberjack checks, and other classic designs. They also have a catalog of housewares and clothing.
A selection of their product line is shown above and linked below. Pendleton blankets and other home products are available through many major department stores, retail shops, the Pendleton mail-order catalog and website, and 75 Pendleton stores across the country.
