No longer called the "Pentagram Calendar", this is the calendar we've had on our office walls for years now, but I also like it for the home. While it changes slightly every year, the basic premise, which was started by Kit Hinrichs over 10 years ago - of showing a new font each month - is the same. Here's the full story:
"Designed by acclaimed graphic designer Kit Hinrichs and his team at Studio Hinrichs, the 365 Typography Calendar features twelve unique typefaces, with descriptions of the type and a biography of each designer. All major holidays are noted on the calendar, along with the birthdays of the type designers.
Now celebrating its 12th year, the newest edition includes favorite typefaces chosen by members of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. The AGI is an elite international professional design organization formed in 1951.
The calendar includes typefaces from design legends Stefan Sagmeister, Ivan Chermayeff, Tom Geismar, Massimo Vignelli, Michael Vanderbyl, Louise Fili and more."
