After many years we restocked our plates and bowls out in the country just before our summer renters moved in. After looking ALL AROUND I finally settled on this really clean, classic set with a touch of subtle design but no frou frou. I wanted something that read very good restaurant, not country kitchen.

The pricing was also very important to me as this stuff adds up quickly. Compared to other good white sets, this was significantly more affordable at $12 per dinner plate. A lot of the other stuff I liked ran $20 per dinner plate. I am always partial to Conran's design sensibility, but the Casper set is a great example of them at their best.

For our basic needs, I chose:
• 12 11" dinner plates
• 12 9" dessert plates
• 12 5.5" cereal bowls
• 12 9" bowls
