In keeping with the great trend of bringing color to mundane places, I love these cloth covered extension cords that you don't have to hide. Man, they're a pricey alternative, but hey, worth it in the right moment.
Stuff I find, like for myself and would recommend to a client.
This could be a good DIY project at a fraction of the $39.
I've done this a number of times for lighting projects using climbing rope. The ropes are colorful and because it is an independant braided core with a sheath you can slide the core out and DIY with the rest of the electical. That said, for the not handy, $39 is not bad if you consider the time to bike to a few stores, buy the bits, and assembly it all clean and pro like.
Maxwell must really like this. It's been featured here before. Not from Schoolhouse Electric but another company. It was equally pricey before.
Nice reminder...no need to have ugly extension or lighting cords. This is a very attractive alternative I loathe ugly vinyl extension cords, cord sets for hanging lanterns and table lamp cords and am in the process of banishing them from my abode! However, based on my personal experience, I would like to let everyone at AT know that Snakeheadvintage (snakeheadvintage.com or Snakeheadvintage's Etsy shop) can make the same thing for a fraction of the price. No need to bike to the store and DIY. You can choose cord and plug color and style as well. Perhaps Schoolhouse Electric is an advertiser and getting a shout out...it is a pretty comprehensive company and offers much more than lighting.
Hey you all, I DO like these colored cord things - both lights and extension cords - and have put them up from a number of places. I am going to check out SnakeHead! And FYI I NEVER put anything up because someone is an advertiser (which Schoolhouse is not anyway), but I do get into passions around things and like to go deep as I discover more and more resources.
