IDEALISK Colander
• $6.99
• IKEA
This is indeed a cooking tool, but it's a beautiful design as well, full stop. I saw it my friend's over Thanksgiving and thought it was a very expensive, Japanese design. Nope. Ikea. Made of stainless steel and with flat perforations, three excellent feet and a handle, it is a lovely useful thing you can hang on the wall with pride.

White Enamel Four-P...
Too many people discredit IKEA because it's...well, IKEA. But they do have some awesome products.
The colander looks like something I'd use, and it's attractive, too. The Ikea store nearest me is too far for me to drive to, and I've been there only once. I bought a non-stick skillet that I love. It's a great product for a reasonable price. I bought a few other odds and ends - a tall plastic container that I use for cat food, and some attractive glass salad bowls. I wish you could order from their website, but most of the products indicate they cannot be ordered online. I love Ikea's kitchen stuff.
i have this colander and love it - the holes are small enough to rinse quinoa!
Rebecca that's funny, I was looking at it thinking about whether it would be small enough to rinse quinoa! All my strainers now are not, so I spend time poking it out with toothpicks :|
This colander is the SH*T! I bought one for myself and then one for my neighbor. Do you know that it spans most sinks? Hells to the yes, that means hands free draining. Woot woot. The other benefit is that you can stick a hook to the inside of your kitchen cabinet door and it'll hang out of the way (from either end).
What's not to love?
These are the best. It makes so much sense for a colander to have a handle - why aren't there more like this?
I have this colander and one of the best kitchen purchases I've made...i'd pay 3 times more if I have to.
