I just finished this beautiful memoir and thought it so moving and so touching in its domestic detail (ie. how to live in New York City in the 60's with no money), that it should be a Daily Find. Robert Mapplethorpe and Patti Smith lived together as lovers and then as friends, and their complementary pursuit of artistic success and contrasting styles within the homes they built together create a memorable background to two extraordinary lives. It's a must read.
