I took this pic inside La Colombe's new shop on Lafayette Street. A fabulous design from 1958, Henningsen designed this for Louis Poulsen and packed it with lighting wisdom: "The shade comprises layers of varying sizes and shapes that direct light both horizontally and vertically. To lend further warmth to the quality of light, Henningsen ingeniously applied primary red to the interior of the inside cone and blue to the smallest reflector to absorb both light spectrums."

Forgive me for I am buying a knock-off small 'Artichoke', in copper, for 1/10 price of the Danish original. Will not have it in my hands until a few days after writing this to know if it was a wise choice. It looked good in a local store NYC near a DWR. My second choice was a real PH 5 from DWR, though most description describe mouning low over a table or desk. I will light from center of 10' 8" x 17' x 8' 8" l/r. Wonder if the incandescent light bulbs ban cut off the 200w I read that you use with PH 5?
