I've always loved this shelf design by Alvar Aalto for Artek. One of his classic designs from 1936, this simple design puts the bracket on top, not on the bottom, allowing it to double as a bookend. They are particularly awesome in multiples.

Comes in two sizes (one deeper than the other) and three colorways (natural, black and white lacquer). Ships assembled.
