I met Peter Lawrence a few months ago when he came to our Design Evening at ABC. Quiet, with a long history working with wood, I loved this cantilevered coffee table and have been waiting to make it a Daily Find. Inspired by George Nakashima and Frank Lloyd Wright, this table, like all Peter's work, is handmade in his Connecticut studio. Check it out and look at his other work. This is more artwork than simply "table". It's stuff to invest in and have for life.

omg, i thought it was an ironing board. guess that's what happens when mine hasn't seen the light of day in years.
I use my ironing board all the time. It definitely looks like an ironing board.
Iron and pray simultaneously.
Looks like a cobbler's bench, but also 'meh'. Not much creativity & sad use of a beautiful slice of walnut. Might as well install a DIY brass clock mechanism.
