Apotheca Flower Shoppe is an inspired gem tucked away in New Hampshire's Goffstown Village. The shop occupies a former train depot from the mid 1860's. The exterior charm of this historic building with its preserved windows, trim, and doors is what first caught my eye.
Apotheca sells a variety of unusual and interesting flowers, both potted and by the stem, but they also sell home accents including candles, mirrors, planters, tea cups, stationery, children's toys and wonderful pieces of small furniture. (I've been eying a pair of fern green telephone tables for a while now.) The shop is whimsically decorated and has a very relaxed feel to it, perfect for browsing. On the other side of the store there's a cafe where you can sip tea and eat a snack. My polite request: more stores like this in New Hampshire please!
