Grand Shopping and Sales in Union Square

Grand Shopping and Sales in Union Square

Although Union Square is tucked away between the Red and Orange line in Somerville, it boasts plenty of great attractions that should motivate you to transfer off the subway and onto the bus. Among the best reasons to visit: the store Grand...

More than just a boutique, Grand offers an eclectic smattering of clothes, shoes and home goods from independent designers all over the world. The store is focused on combining art, design and style into an fresh environment that reminds us more of SoHo than Somerville. Located in a former auto body repair shop, they now occupy the first floor of a design-centric building, sharing space with a company who builds green roofs and an architecture firm.

Conceptualized by three Boston designers, its a fresh take on shopping and a treat for anyone interested in this city's design scene. This Saturday, June 28th is the perfect time to go as they have their first Sidewalk Sale complete with refreshments.

And since we're celebrating the outdoors this month on AT, make a day of it and visit Ricky's Flower Market, the Union Square Farmer's Market and the Boston Handmade Marketplace while you're in the neighborhood!

To get to Union Square, take any of the following buses: 87 (Lechemere/Clarendon Hill) and 85 (Kendal Square/Spring Hill) stop very close to Grand but the 80, 86, 88, and 91 all go through Union Square.
